Meet Douglass, Anita, and Isabel
The goal of this project was to create an app for social good that presented an easy-to-use platform for volunteers to meet the needs of school teachers in their communities.

-To be able to volunteer on a continual basis, yet have a flexible schedule that allows for travel
Frustrations
-Difficulty finding repeat volunteer opportunities with allowances for a missed day here and there.

Douglass Hall retired last year after passing his business on to his three children. He and his wife, Laurel, want to spend their retired years giving back to the community and traveling.

-To be able to serve all her students well. To do that, Anita needs enough time to do planning, grading, teaching, and tutoring
Frustrations
-Anita is feels overworked and underpaid, she wants a healthy work-life balance but does not have enough time to get everything done in contracted hours
Anita Jones is a fourth grade teacher living in Charlotte, NC. She has been teaching for fifteen years in the public school system. She feels overwhelmed by increasing class sizes and lack of support due to insufficient funding.

Frustrations
-Isabel moved part way through the school year, so she feels behind. Her parents cannot afford a tutor and both work long hours
Isabel is a fourth grade student who recently moved to the US from Mexico. She is eager to learn, but moved during the school year and is having trouble keeping up.
